In preparation for the Photographer’s Badge the Scouts were asked to do video story boards. The Scouts were divided up into their patrols and spent most of the evening discussing and drawing their ideas. At the end of the evening the Scouts had to present their ideas to the rest of the troop and two were chosen to be made later in the term.
So as to help get some practice with the cameras the Scouts would be using for their Photographer’s Badge they practiced filming some of the other Scouts building pioneering suspension bridges. The Scouts took it in turns to build and film. When the bridges were finished they were tested to see how many beans bags they would hold at their middle. All of this was still being filmed. A good night of practice for both those filming and the builders.
